The big book design project that kept me busy all this past fall is finally available for pre-order!
This project was a ton of fun to work on! It's a Lovecraftian horror role-playing game book set in the 1960s (think cosmic monsters + secret agents + the horrors of the Vietnam war and you'll get the gist of it), written by the prolific and impressive author and game designer Ken Hite. I created an entirely new layout for the project, as well as doing art direction/ working with other illustrators, creating lots of original art and sourcing historical images. It was a lot (A LOT) of work, but it was also the most fun and creative latitude I've ever had on a book project, and I couldn't be happier with how it's turned out! It was an interesting challenge to create material that was related to but not exactly derivative of the original Delta Green: The Role-Playing Game, that conveyed a sense of chaos and horror, and most importantly, conveyed a feeling of the 1960's without feeling dated or just a mimicry of design from that era.
