One of a kind handmade stoneware bud vase, embellished with kintsugi, paint, and ink. Kintsugi (金継ぎ) is the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with lacquer and powdered gold. It regards breakage and repair as part of the history and beauty of an object rather than something to conceal. This series of work explores the strength and beauty to be gained by embracing imperfection and change.
